What is Centask?

Centask is an online personal task management application, with a mobile app in the works. It is a convenient, easy-to-use tool that can help you organize and schedule your scattered emails, To-Do lists, files and links in one place. Centask is focused on providing you with a complete workflow solution, where all your tasks and task-related information is organized and accessible in one place. Simplifying your task management workflow allows you to focus on what matters the most: your goals.

How do I know that my data is secure?

We understand that your privacy and the security of your personal information are extremely important. We’ve been in your shoes, and know that signing up for a new service can be unsettling. At Centask, we’ve tried to address any concerns you may have regarding the security of your personal data. You – and you alone – own your data.

Here are few examples of ways in which we preserve the security and integrity of your information:

  • We use secure 128-bit encryption and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt the transmission of your data to our servers, which helps protect your data.
  • Our servers are hosted in Amazon EC2 data centers in Oregon. These centers are highly secure and have SAS 70 Type II certification. You can read more about Amazon’s security from the AWS Security Center.
  • We perform automatic backups multiple times a day and store the information with Amazon S3 storage services, which are secured and protected.
  • We follow industry-accepted best practices in all areas of application security.

To delete your account and have your data removed from our servers, contact us at beta_support@centask.com. Include the email address you used to register for your Centask account. We will process your request within 7 business days.

How much does it cost?

It is free during our beta phase. In the future, we intend to release a premium account version of Centask for a small monthly fee.

Which and how many email accounts do you support?

Centask currently supports seamless integration with a single Gmail account; however, IMAP support for multiple email accounts is in alpha stages. That means you can add multiple additional Gmail accounts or any other email account that supports IMAP. If you would like to participate in the alpha group of this functionality, please send us an email and request the activation instructions for IMAP.

Do I have to stop using my Gmail account?

Not at all. We believe that there are many specialized services – including Gmail – that are extremely useful. Centask’s goal is to embrace these services and to be the glue that ties them all together into one coherent productivity dashboard. We have specifically designed a way for Centask to supplement your use of Gmail and make it even more efficient. Read more about Centask-Gmail workflow and integration.

Are you asking me to file all of my digital information?

Absolutely not. Centask firmly believes that you are in control of your workflow – and all of its components. Our philosophy is that only active projects and activities with many digital items should be organized in order to facilitate increased efficiency and a better decision-making process. With Centask, you have the choice to organize a digital item, or to rely on search.
